Our Trip to Branson, MO

We went to Branson, MO, this week and had a great time! Chandler, Pappaw, and I went to the College of the Ozarks where we visited the Ralph Foster Museum and had a great time looking at all of the exhibits. I'll post the pictures of Chandler here and the other pictures (the knitting content on my knitting blog). On Wednesday, we went to Silver Dollar City. I got some great shots of the kids there, too!

They had many different types of animals throughout this museum. They had the most awesome display of wild birds stuffed. It was truly magnificent. They also had a very large display of bird eggs...hundreds of different eggs to see.

Chandler and Pappaw. I hope that they both enjoyed the museum as much as I did. Chandler didn't mention much about it until we headed for home from Branson. At first I thought he hadn't really paid much attention to it, but he's been talking non-stop about all the things he saw.

Savannah had a great time feeding the geese. She said "That's a BIG OL' CHICKEN!" Some of the geese were a little agressive and she climbed up the table so they wouldn't get too near. There was one goose that would peck at you if you didn't feed him fast enough. In this picture, you can only see about 1/3 of the geese that were gathered around us. It was really neat.

Savannah was waiting patiently in line to ride the merry-go-round. She really enjoyed that ride and even conned her Pappaw into riding with with her twice!

Even Chandler had a good time riding the merry-go-round! Below, a picture of a very excited girl waiting for her train ride!

Savannah was really taking in everything about her train ride. She really had a ball. She tried her best to get the actor playing the train robber to talk to her and take her money. I thought this was a sweet picture of her.

This picture is a little dark, but I hope you can see the kids. At one of the shows, the kids went up on stage to be part of the pots and pans band and they played music along with the singers. In the other picture, Chandler had been picked out of the audience and dressed up as an Indian Chief. He was holding his staff and the guy was using it to play his fiddle. It was really neat! I was so shocked that shy Chandler even agreed to get up on stage!
